Youngjin Eomuk is Busan’s traditional fish cake brand, that began in Choryang-dong, Dong-gu, Busan in 1966, and is still holding its location.

Manufacturing method, which continued on for a long time through its family business, is still being maintained,
and through various presses and word-of-mouth, it has stayed by its customers for around 50 years with its true taste.
In particular, the only alive fish cake technician and founder, president Kyung-Soo, Park, who’s now 70 years old, still sorts the good fish meat, makes handmade fish cakes, and develops recipes, by himself, proving his passion.

Many fish cake shops came and went in Busan for 50 years, but still, Youngjin fish cake is counted as the original fish cake shop in Choryang market, and is a must visit tourist attraction of Busan.

Second plant was constructed in Jangrim-dong, Saha-gu, Busan in 1994, and it is enabling the whole country to taste fresh and delicious Youngjin fish cakes in a more modern environment, through parcel service.

Busan Youngjin fish cake, with 50 years of tradition, known only through word-of-mouth, without any grandiose advertisement!
It will continue on insisting its traditional taste, and with its unchanging attitude, it promises to be a brand that will go alongside with the customers.

1970's
  Settled in Choryang market.
Began its fish cake business by settling at the entry of Choryang Catholic church from Choryang market, located in 244, Choryang-dong, Dong-gu.
     
1980's   Domination of Busan eomuk market.
It grew while receiving lots of love from the customers, and it was common for the plant to operate from 3am to 11pm.
     
1990's   Establishment of Jangrim plant.
In 1993, in order to manufacture fish cakes in a better environment, the second plant was constructed in Jangrim-dong.
     
Current   Youngjin Eokmuk is
Jangrim plant, which exchanged to the latest facility and received HACCP certification, maintains its traditional method, and delivers Youngjin fish cakes nationwide, after manufacturing them with the years of know-how.
